Robert Gordon, 80, known affectionately as Bob to his friends and family, peacefully passed away at the Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on March 9, 2024. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who touched the lives of many with his patient, kind, and gentle spirit.
Born on October 27, 1943, in Brownsville, Tenn., Robert led a fulfilling life that was marked by his dedication to his family and his successful career at Quaker Oats. He found joy in the simple things, particularly in being an avid fisherman and spending time immersed in nature. One of his favorite pastimes was bird watching with binoculars, where he could appreciate the beauty of wildlife around him.
Robert’s proudest accomplishments were his daughter Melissa and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. His memory will be forever treasured by Glenda Palmer Gordon, his wife of 62 years, daughter, Melissa Williams (Clay) of Jackson, TN; brother, Albert Gordon (Carole) of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, Haley Heidelberg (Bruce) ; Shelley Carr (Derek), Johnny Williams (Faith),great-grandchildren Landry Carr, Bryson Joe Carr, Millie Williams and Tripp Williams.
