Leigh Ann McGuire

March 16, 1972 — March 25, 2024

Leigh Ann McGuire was loved by many, left this world to be with her Daughter, Beth “Boo” on March 25, 2024.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, generosity, and happiness. Leigh Ann faced her health challenges with courage and grace. Never complaining and still strove to make others around her happy until God called her home to be with Beth. Despite the sorrow that now lingers in our hearts, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.

Her vibrant persona and infectious smile meant she never met a stranger. She found friends everywhere she went.  Leigh Ann took immense pride in her daughter, Beth, who was her proudest accomplishment.  Family meant the world to Leigh Ann.  She loved her husband, parents, sisters, and bonus children deeply.  Her love knew no bounds, as she cared for her friends greatly and loved them as if they were also her family.

Born on March 16, 1972, in Jackson, Tenn., to JD and Patsy McCormick. She worked as a materials planner at Kellanova for many years, where her dedication showed to every person she worked with. When not working, Leigh Ann’s adventurous spirit led her to find happiness in the sandy shores of the beach. Sun, sand, and sea was where she found happiness and peace. She had an unwavering passion for traveling with her friends and family. She always showed her joy and love of life and togetherness.

Leigh Ann is survived by her loving husband Donald McGuire; devoted parents, JD and Patsy McCormick; caring sisters, Tammy Vatter (Steve) and Stacy Young (Jeremy); bonus children, Donald McGuire, Jr. and Nicholas McGuire; nieces and nephews, Ryan Vatter, Jason Vatter, Kristen Alexander, Reese Young, and Trey Young; great-niece, Macey Alexander; and several cherished friends and relatives.

She is reunited in heaven with her daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Thompson and beloved grandparents, Deward and Verblene McCormick and John and Florida Foster.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors.  The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the time of service.  The burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.

Leigh Ann will forever be remembered for infusing every moment with love, joy, and laughter. Her kindness touched countless lives; may her light continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
