Unity Hall presents Aztec Two-Step 2.0 Friday

Posted

BARNEVELD — Rex Fowler and his group Aztec Two-Step 2.0 will perform live at 8 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Unity Hall, 101 Vanderkemp Ave., Barneveld. Doors will open at 7:15 p.m.

Fans will remember Fowler and his musical partner Neal Shulman who took the name Aztec Two-Step from a poem by Lawrence Ferlinghetti back in the early ‘70s. During their stellar career Aztec Two-Step appeared in concert with such notable artists as The Band, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Arlo Guthrie, David Bromberg, Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, America, Orleans, Jimmy Buffet, and many more.

Following Shulman’s 2018 retirement, and with his blessings, Fowler has continued this legacy with Aztec Two-Step 2.0.

The members of the new Aztec Two-Step ensemble include Dodie Pettit on acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards and vocals, and Steven “Muddy” Roues on standup bass, vocals, and harmonica.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.unityhall.com and at the Adirondack Cheese Company in Barneveld. Seating is limited.

Proof of COVID vaccination is required. Masks are recommended.
