The Greater Jackson Chamber has been honored with receiving the inaugural "Chamber of the Year" award in the large category by the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE). This award, introduced for the first time this year, recognizes the Chamber’s outstanding leadership, dedication to the community and excellence in chamber management.
The TCCE Chamber of the Year Award is an annual recognition established to honor two chambers — one large and one small — that have distinguished themselves through exceptional performance in organizational excellence.
The Greater Jackson Chamber was selected as the first-ever recipient in its category from a competitive pool of entries submitted by Chambers across Tennessee. These entries were evaluated by an out-of-state panel of judges, all current chamber executives, who assessed the submissions based on key areas of performance.
“We are honored to receive the Chamber of the Year Award from TCCE, a testament to the dedication, hard work, and success of our entire team and community,” stated Kyle Spurgeon, president and CEO of the Greater Jackson Chamber.
“This recognition highlights our commitment to fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life in Jackson and the West Tennessee region. We look forward to continuing our efforts to support local businesses and drive growth in our region.”
To be eligible for this award, chambers must be members in good standing with the TCCE. Each participating chamber was required to submit a comprehensive application detailing their excellence in four key areas over the last 18 months: Networking & Communication, Education & Workforce Development, Advocacy & Government Relations, and Community Engagement & Social Impact.
“Though we are gracious winners, l was, quite frankly, not surprised to hear that we had won,” said Roger Smith, Chairman of the Greater Jackson Chamber Board. As volunteer Chairman, I am privileged to see our talented staff in action almost every day. I would put the Greater Jackson Chamber staff up against any Chamber our size. The award is a testament to the outstanding work they do for our members and for our community.”
