TCA hosting annual all-star game Saturday

Posted

The annual West Tennessee High School Basketball All-Star Games will be Saturday at Trinity Christian Academy, and both South squads have plenty of Jackson talent on their rosters.

The girls’ team will be coached by TCA’s Jana and Scott Kahler.

There are six players on that team with two of them coming from Jackson - South Side’s Aydison Dilworth and Jackson Central-Merry’s Shaloyah Johnson.

For the boys’ South team, North Side’s Aaron and Drew Woods will be the coaches.

Of the 14 players on that team, 12 come from the Hub City, and seven of the eight schools in Madison County will be represented in the game.

Lincoln Woods, Davien Carruthers and Jordan McCullough will play one more time for their coaches from North Side.

Zack Niven will represent the host school from TCA.

Jackson Christian will be represented by Co Vargason and Carter Smith.

South Side’s Simeon Graham will be a part of the game.

Ny Shaun Bettingfield-Clark and Jadin Springfield will be a couple of players from JCM who will be playing in the game.

Madison will be represented by Harry Rowland.

There will also be a couple of Liberty Crusaders playing as well with Corey Shaw and Josh Sain being selected.

All-star games in Tennessee can happen for players who have completed their eligibility in their respective high school sport as graduating seniors.

JCS’ K.J. White and Brittany Cavender will be coaching the North girls’ team.

Both games will be on Saturday, May 30, at TCA with the girls’ game tipping off at 5 p.m. and the boys playing at 6:30.

Admission is $10.
