TCA hosting all-star hoops games tonight

Trinity Christian Academy will host the 2024 edition of the Golden Circle Auto Group High School All-Star Basketball Games on Saturday.

The girls’ game will tip off at 5 p.m. with the boys set to start playing at 6:30.

The admission price to get in is $10.

“We’re looking forward to a couple of big games here at TCA,” said TCA athletic director and boys’ basketball coach Dexter Williams.

Both games will have a noticeable presence from Madison County.

On the South roster for the girls is South Side’s Kimora Curry.

She’ll be playing on the same team with Chester County’s Jariyah Williamson, South Gibson’s Hallie Allen and Natalie Lewis, Riverside’s Jayla Davenport, Middleton’s Morgan Talley, McNairy Central’s Lena Taylor and Fayette-Ware’s Markala Terry.

Jackson Central-Merry’s Jeremy Simmons and Liberty’s Brian Lake will coach the South team.

On the North team will be Lilly Kee from Huntingdon, Gleason’s Autumn Mingle, Bradford’s Rebecca Wood, South Fulton’s Anna and Aubree Gore, Dyersburg’s Netala Dixon and Humboldt’s Tamyra Patterson.

Terrell Green, a longtime assistant coach at Liberty and now the head girls’ coach at Humboldt, will coach the North team along with his assistants from Humboldt – Chandra Maclin and Malik Cross.

In the boys’ game, there will be six players from Madison County on the South team.

Jackson Christian’s Ayden Shaw and Ridgely Ragan, Sacred Heart of Jesus’ A.J. Morman and A.J. Bell, Madison’s Carter Noble and Liberty’s Jeremiah Greer will all be taking the court.

Their teammates will be Tracy Jones and Kylan McNeal from Bolivar, Fred Moore from Humboldt, Taquinis Mitchel from Middleton, Riverside’s Jagger Cupples and Chester County’s Keivian Allen.

Jackson Christian head coach Kyle Teichmann will be the coach for the South team, and it will be one final chance for him to coach with Drew Pirtle.

Pirtle has been Teichmann’s assistant coach at Jackson Christian for five years and recently accepted the head coaching position at South Gibson.

On the North team, Ja’Marion and JaMarcus Whitelow from Ripley will take the court with Malki Brooks from Union City, Halls’ Larry Coleman, Bradford’s Ethan Richardson, Dyersburg’s Ace Mahaffey, Dyer County’s Marcus Martin and Justice Mosley, Haywood’s Jacari Comade and Ron Brisbon and Munford’s Murray Norman.

Haywood’s Rodney Chatman and Tyler Morton will coach the North team.
