Specialty convenience store opens in downtown Jackson

Downtown Jackson saw the opening of the new specialty convenience store, The Bodega, on Monday, July 15. Located in an eye-catching blue building on the corner of North Liberty Street and Lafeyette Street, the corner store features an array of food and drink items ranging from classic convenience store fare to more eclectic choices. The Bodega also offers a generous selection of fresh deli items, beer, frozen meals and a self-serve coffee bar.

In hopes of attracting more customers and integrating with the culture of downtown Jackson, The Bodega has teamed up with Turntable Coffee Counter to offer a selection of items from Turntable’s baked goods line. An array of savory pastries, cookies and hand pies will be available for purchase.

The Bodega will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, giving customers time to enjoy the store’s selection both before and after work hours. The establishment will be closed on Sundays.

Jackson residents have expressed their excitement at the arrival of The Bodega as a new spot to shop locally for everyday convenience store classics. The opening of The Bodega and other small businesses continues to show growth in downtown Jackson that is encouraging to many people in the Hub City.
