South Side falls short in district championship bid
The Chester County Eagles and South Side Hawks needed an extra four minutes to figure out who would be the District 12-3A champion in boys’ basketball, and the Eagles took the first-place plaque this time around.
Chester County won 65-62 in overtime.
Both teams will host a quarterfinal game in the Region 6-3A tournament before the semifinals and championship are played at Chester County next week.

The Indians established their dominance and pulled away to the win to avoid a matchup with the other district’s champion in the quarterfinals of the region tournament.
