Children are anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus after they fall to sleep on the night of December 24.
But children have another way to see St. Nick before he makes his tour across the world putting gifts under a few billion Christmas trees.
He’ll be in Downtown Jackson at the Santa House each weekend leading up to Christmas Day.
The Santa House has been assembled near the main entrance to City Hall at 101 East Main Street in Downtown Jackson, across the street from the northern entrance to the Madison County Courthouse.
Starting this weekend (Dec. 5-7), Santa will be at the house Thursday and Friday night and Saturday each week.
He’ll be in the house from 6-8 p.m. each evening for all three days and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
Children can get their pictures taken with Santa, and they can tell him what they want for Christmas.
