Rev. Jimmy Dale Breedlove, a dedicated servant of the Lord, has peacefully passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the age of 79 in Memphis, TN. His life was one rich with love, faith, and service to his community.
Born on November 25, 1944, in Moscow, TN, the son of the late Clyde and Cora Lee Watkins Breedlove. Rev. Breedlove's journey was marked by a deep commitment to his faith and the churches he served over his forty-eight-year career. A graduate of Union University in Jackson, TN, he spread love and compassion through his work at various churches including Cotton Wood Baptist in Missouri, East Side Baptist Church in Monticello, AR, Three Way Baptist Church in Bells, TN, Finley Road Baptist in MS, Calvary Baptist Mission Church in Horn Lake, MS and Toone Baptist Church in Toone, however, it was his twenty-one years at Parkview Baptist Church in Jackson, TN that truly defined his legacy.
Outside of his service to the church, Rev. Breedlove found joy in simple pleasures like farming and outdoor activities such as riding four-wheelers, hunting, and fishing. He cherished moments spent playing cards with his beloved wife and found solace in watching Westerns and reading his Bible.
Rev. Jimmy Dale Breedlove leaves behind a loving family including his wife, Joann Breedlove of Jackson, TN; his daughters, Sherry Fesmire and husband Ben, Penny Davis and husband Clint, Jennifer Young and husband Jim all of Jackson, TN; his sister, Debbie Breedlove of Ashland MS; his brother, Mike Breedlove (Deborah) of Michigan City MS grandchildren Benjie Fesmire (Heather), Katie Beth Wyatt (Joel), Jordan Fesmire, Wendy Gwatney (John), Jonathan Davis (Raquel), Bri Smith (Andrew), Shelby Haley (Kendall), and Shea Wilson (Dalton).
Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Breedlove, Clyde M. Breedlove and Charles B. Breedlove.
A visitation honoring Jimmy's life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and continuing until to 7:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 8065 Yager Drive Moscow, TN 38057 with the family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the service time.
Pallbearers serving will be John Gwatney, Kendall Haley, Benjie Fesmire, Jordan Fesmire, Joel Wyatt, Jonathan Davis, Dalton Wilson, and Andrew Smith.
