Jeff Reuter has staked his claim to being the best golfer in Jackson.

Reuter won his fourth Stone Cup tournament and third in a row on Sunday when he outlasted Gray Campbell in the match play finals at Jackson Country Club.

According to tournament director Hank Shackelford, Reuter and Campbell were the two most consistent golfers throughout the three-day tournament held at different courses throughout Jackson with rounds at Woodland Hills and Jackson National before moving to the finals at the country club.

Torie Robinson claimed her second-ever Pearce Cup after beating Lydia Baker 4&3 in a back-and-forth battle that could’ve gone either way.

After the match, Robinson and Baker received a call from the person whom the Pearce Cup is named for, local golfing legend Beverly Pearce, who’s 88 years old now living in Florida.

David Wade won his first-ever Senior Stone Cup with a 3&2 win over Jeff Stinson after having finished as runner-up last year.

On Monday, the Stone Cup Legends finals were played at Woodland Hills, and Andy Rushing won in the semifinals and finals. He claimed the championship after beating Chris Simmons in the final 1 up.
