Pat A. Edmonson, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, at Maplewood Healthcare and Rehab in Jackson. 

Born on Dec. 19, 1937, in Bauxite, Ark., the daughter of the late William and Maudie Ramsey Udey. 

Pat was an esteemed Administrative Assistant at the Jackson-Madison County Board of Education, where she dedicated herself to supporting the education community. 

An active member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson since 1964, Pat embodied an energetic spirit and shared her deep faith in Christ with everyone she encountered. Her service to the church included a stint as the church secretary, teaching Sunday school, and participating as a dedicated member of the choir and various church committees.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Laura Weatherford and husband Jim, and Dana Wallace and husband Dr. Robert J. Wallace, as well as her brother, Larry Udey, and sisters Doris Menkin and Marion Duvall. She was a proud grandmother to Zachary Weatherford and wife Allison, Ellison Weatherford, Tyler Weatherford, Tanner Wallace and wife Elizabeth, and Trevor Wallace and fiancé Miranda, and a great-grandmother to Bryson, Willow, Easton, and Dorothy. 

In her retirement, Pat found fulfillment as a volunteer with Kirkland's Cancer Center.

A funeral service was held on Friday, Aug. 30, at First Baptist Church of Jackson, with Dr. Scott Gilbert officiating. Burial followed in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
