Our Jackson Home launched the Spring 2024 issue of the Our Jackson Home journal at Havner’s Frame Shop on April 11.

This issue, titled “Dreams,” was celebrated with the opening of a gallery of the same name that was organized and hosted by Havner’s Frame Shop.

The event saw artists and writers from all over the Jackson area come together for a night celebrating the stories, poetry, and artwork of journal contributors and community members alike who submitted their work to make both the journal and gallery possible.

This issue of the Our Jackson Home journal sought to explore the concept of dreams and what they mean to various people within the local community here in Jackson.

The art pieces displayed within the gallery space at Havner’s Frame Shop also followed this principle, providing a myriad of interpretations for the prompt.

Our Jackson Home is housed at the CO here in Jackson.

Lizzie Emmons serves as the organization’s program director along with Maddie Steele, the communications manager and editor-in-chief.

The community-focused program is always on the lookout for new storytellers, artists, and contributors of all skills and backgrounds to volunteer as part of the team for Our Jackson Home.
