Miss Volunteer America crowns opening night winners

The second annual Miss Volunteer America got started on Wednesday with its opening night of preliminaries, and Miss Georgia Volunteer and Miss Indiana Volunteer came away as the winners.

Miss Georgia Volunteer, Victoria Hill, won the talent competition.

Miss Indiana Volunteer, Stevie Griffin, won the fitness and health competition.

The pageant continues with preliminaries on Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. at the Carl Perkins Civic Center with the finals on Saturday at 7 p.m.
