Leaders Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative in Jackson, held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new South Highland branch and hosted the Greater Jackson Chamber’s Business After Hours networking event for August. Members from the Chamber, Leaders Credit Union executive leadership, and Leaders financial champions were all in attendance.
“We are excited for this new and improved facility,” said Karen Freeman, Chief Operations Officer at Leaders.
“This expansion allows room for our financial champions to grow in, as well as a better experience for our members in the South Jackson community.”
Neighboring the original branch location, which was a mere 1,402 square feet, this new building is 3,469 square feet. This increase in size has allowed for more offices, a conference area, and a spacious lobby for members. Along with the new building, there is also more space for drive-thru services, ATM and expanded parking.
“As we open our new branch, we’re grateful for what this means for our members—like a larger, more inviting space and plenty of parking, something we lacked at our previous location,” said Jonathan Newcom, AVP of South Highland Branch. “Personally, I’m excited that our South Jackson members now have a bigger team to support their financial needs, including our veteran mortgage loan officer, Kelli Bryan, and an additional member service representative.”
The South Highland branch offers a full suite of financial solutions, such as savings and checking accounts, vehicle loans, certificates, and youth banking. With the new building, there is now a Mortgage Champion, Kelli Bryan, on site.
This new addition allows members in South Jackson to have access to Leaders Mortgage Services, so they can apply for a home loan or refinance their current one. The new address for the South Highland branch is 1311 S. Highland Ave., Jackson, Tennessee, 38301.
