JPD seeking information in shooting death of juvenile

The Jackson Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a juvenile over the weekend. According to a press release issued by the department, officers responded to 81 Sweet Briar in reference to a sixteen-year-old male who had been shot to death. The JPD reports the minor was dead upon officers’ arrival.

The JPD further reports while officers were on the scene, a male subject was taken into custody for outstanding warrants unrelated to the shooting incident.
