Public Notice is hereby given pursuant to TCA code 13-7-105 that a public hearing will be held at the regular meeting of the Madison County Board of Commissioners on March 16, 2026 at 8:30 AM at the Jackson-Madison County Health Department to consider an amendment to the Madison County Inner Region Zoning Resolution to change property comprising of 2.44 acres located east of 50 Cave House Road from F-A-R (Forestry-Agriculture-Recreation) District to B-3 (Highway Business) District. A complete copy of the proposed zoning amendment is available at madisoncountytn.gov.

Notice of Election and Qualifying Information for the Office of Chancellor

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 17-4-308(j), an election to fill a vacancy in the office of Chancellor will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Accordingly, qualifying candidates for Chancellor shall remain open until 12:00 noon (CDT) on Monday, March 16, 2026. 

Candidates wishing to qualify as independents may pick up a petition in the county election commission office during regular business hours. Candidates wishing to seek a party’s nomination by caucus should contact the political party.

The deadline for withdrawal by any candidates shall be 12:00 noon (CDT) on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
