There were 15 incidents of shots fired in the city limits of Jackson in an 11-day span, according to the Jackson Police Department’s online “Daily Bulletin.” JPD Deputy Chief Derick Tisdale says the public’s assistance is always needed to help the department solve new, and even past crimes. Anonymous tips are also accepted by the department.
Through the use of technology, the following incidents have been recorded by the department as reports of gunfire. The following is a list of general locations, approximate timeframes and dates of the most-recent shots fired incidents dating from May 24 through June 4:

2:15-2:37 p.m. - 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive
5:30-5:41 p.m. - 300 block of Arlington Avenue/Campbell Street

1:07 a.m. - 300 block of Lexington Avenue
1:15-1:30 a.m. - 100 block of Jackson Street
June 4
4:14 a.m. - 300 block of Ash Street
9:07 p.m. - 100 block of Jason Drive.
