Duke Julian, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home on July 4, 2024, at the age of 74. Duke's presence and spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Duke lived a life full of kindness, honor, and purpose, rich in experiences and relationships. He was an ardent fan and alumnus of the University of Alabama, where he formed many cherished memories and friendships. His love for the Crimson Tide and golf was well-known among his family and friends.

He proudly served his country as a United States Marine, an experience that instilled in him a sense of duty and resilience. Following his military service, he had a career as a sales manager. He was also in the golf industry, which led him to his career in the water business.

Duke was also blessed with a loving marriage to his wife, Jessica, for 47 wonderful years, a union that was the cornerstone of his life. This loving partnership led to his roles as a father to two devoted sons, Drew and Dustin. He deeply valued his role as a grandfather, taking immense pride and joy in nurturing a special bond with his cherished grandchildren.

One of his greatest joys was his grandchildren. One of whom lived with him and Jessica and filled their home with laughter and warmth. They were a source of immense pride and happiness for him.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, George William Julian, Sr. and Mollie Mae Whitfield Julian, whose values and kindness he carried throughout his life.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jessica Julian; sons, Drew (Jennifer) and Dustin (Tisha); grandchildren, Sydney Drew Julian, Savannah Beaton, Elijah Frye, Emily Russell, and Shanna Frye; brother, Bruce Julian; and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
