Jackson Arts Council representatives recently announced they were very pleased to introduce Delita Johnson as their new Executive Director. Johnson officially began her new role at the Jackson Arts Council on Monday, May 13.
Prior to joining the Jackson Arts Council, Johnson served as a Business Account Manager for AT&T, where she was responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of business using effective sales techniques and strategies to increase sales revenue and improve market share. In this role, she made multiple business presentations and attended several networking and marketing events. Johnson also assessed client needs and provided solutions that delivered value and growth within their operations.
She has a doctorate degree from Walden University in Business Administration with a concentration in Social Impact Management. She has more than 20 years experience in business development and public speaking. She is a writer and published author. Johnson loves to sing and is the worship leader at her church. She is passionate about self-development through the expression and power of art.
Johnson is a native Tennessean who resides in Jackson with her fur baby, JonJon, and husband, Anthony, who is a local small business owner and Sales Account Executive for an industrial supply company.
