The Color Purple - The Musical
The Ned presents The Color Purple - The Musical (2015 Broadway Revival Version) based upon a novel written by Alice Walker and the Warner Bros./Amblin Entertainment Motion Picture. Book by Marsha Norman. Music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray. "The Color Purple" was produced on Broadway at the Broadway Theater by Oprah Winfrey, Scott Sanders, Roy Furman and Quincy Jones. The world premiere of THE COLOR PURPLE was produced by the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta, GA. Directed by Ebony Taylor. Performance begins at 7 p.m.

Veterans’ recognition ceremony
The West Tennessee Veterans’ Coalition is sponsoring a service honoring veterans in West Tennessee at Englewood Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Sherry Pickering, from the Tennessee Department of Veterans’ Services. There will also be performances by the Innovation Choir.

Charity Gala
The Charity Gala is the largest annual fundraiser hosted by the Community Foundation of West Tennessee. The event includes a cocktail reception, silent auction, seated dinner, award presentations, live music, and dancing. Proceeds from the event support critical community initiatives. The Charity Gala has come to be recognized as one of West Tennessee’s “most elegant events.” Join them as they “Light Up the Night” at the 33rd Annual Charity Gala, celebrating the arts, music, and culture of West Tennessee. Tables are available for $2,500 and individual tickets are $350. This is one of The Greater Jackson Chamber’s biggest networking events, and Ferguson Enterprises (1020 Highway 45 Bypass) is this month’s host. All are invited to come in, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, make contacts and network. The event is free to attend and no advance registration is needed.

Clay Walker concert
Clay Walker made his name in country music in the 1990s with hits like “What’s It to You?” and “If I Could Make A Living Loving You.” Later this month, he’ll be performing in West Tennessee at Williams Auditorium (634 East Main Street in Henderson). Veterans’ Day Parade

Free to participate. Prize for the best decorated veteran vehicle. The parade starts at 11 a.m.
Tyler Braden concert
Artist Tyler Braden is performing on his Real Friends Tour, and it’s making a stop in Jackson at Hub City Brewing (250 W Main Street in Downtown Jackson) beginning at 7 p.m.
