Miss Teen Volunteer America

The teen version of Miss Volunteer America will begin with the first night of preliminaries at 7 p.m. at the Carl Perkins Civic Center (400 South Highland Ave. in Downtown Jackson). There will be two nights of preliminaries with the finals night on Saturday.

March 9

Spring Fling Arts & Crafts

You are invited to the 5th Annual Spring Fling Market on March 9, 2024, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Come out and enjoy a day of shopping, food, and fun with local vendors. Get your home ready for spring and pick up some goodies for yourself as well. Grab a couple of friends and enjoy the day. It’s at the Kenton City Gym (206 College Street in Kenton).

Easter Egg Hunt

Gadsden Community Church (20048 Highway 79 in Gadsden) will host their free Easter Egg Hunt on March 9 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Bring a basket and have some fun then have a free hot dog lunch afterward. The egg hunt is for children ages 0-12. 

The Jackson Symphony – Classic Edge

Konstantin Heidrich is the soloist for Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1, widely considered the most difficult cello solo ever written. Michael Tippett’s edgy and dynamic Symphony No. 4 completes the program. All of this will be at The Ned (314 East Main Street in Downtown Jackson) starting at 7 p.m.

The Isaacs

Grand Ole Opry inductees and Gospel Music Hall of Famers, The Isaacs will return to Williams Auditorium (634 East Main Street in Henderson). The Isaacs are an award-winning group that has spent five decades creating the undeniable family harmonies and distinct sounds that have made them a favorite among audiences everywhere. They just wrapped up a tour with Reba McEntire and are excited to be back in West Tennessee. Concert starts at 7 p.m.

Shadow of the 60s

Shadow of the 60s: A Celebration of the Stars of Motown will be in Huntingdon on Saturday at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center on the square in Huntingdon at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $35-$50. The show pays tribute to the tremendous legacy to the Motown greats. In this highly interactive and visually stunning production, Shadows of the 60s perform the hits that span several decades. 

Big/Gun the AC/DC Tribute Show

In 2001, an idea formed in the minds of a few musicians in Knoxville, Tennessee, to create the most authentic tribute to one of the greatest bands in the world, AC/DC. Shortly thereafter, BIG/GUN was formed. Through hard work and dedication, it became the most sought-after tribute to AC/DC in America. The group will be in Paris on Saturday at the Krider Performing Arts Center (650 Volunteer Drive in Paris) with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for standard seating and $50 for preferred seating.
