JULY 7

Food Truck Fridays

Downtown Jackson and the West TN Farmers Market (91 New Market Street in Downtown Jackson) bring you Food Truck Fridays! Make plans to join them every Friday, May through November, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to experience local eateries at lunch to end your work week and support local businesses. 

First Fridays Art Walk

Through November, the Jackson Arts Council will organize “First Friday Art Walk” events in Downtown Jackson. These monthly events will take place on the first Friday of the month from 3-6 p.m. in local businesses all within walking distance of one another in Downtown Jackson’s newly designated Arts District. The public will now have regular monthly opportunities to shop for local art directly from local artists. Artists will pop up inside of the storefronts of local businesses to sell their work. The purpose of these events is to increase opportunities for the public to engage with the arts, increase opportunities for local artists to sell their work, increase arts opportunities within the Arts District, and increase walkability and economic activity in Downtown Jackson.

Wine Down

Crown Winery (3638 East Mitchell Street in Humboldt) is back with its Wine Down concert series. Remember when booking your table reservations to also go ahead and do your pizza reservations. The pizzas time slots go fast.
Visit their website www.crownwinery.com and book online. This week’s entertainment is Jackson’s Hubtet. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Voices in the Vineyard

Century Farm Winery (1548 Lower Brownsville Road in Jackson) continues its summer concert series with Will Beyer Band at 7 p.m. Music starts at 7 p.m. Limited tables are available. Lawn chairs are available.

Summer Celebration

This event provides educational opportunities for landscaping and horticultural professionals and hobbyist gardeners. The Summer Celebration field day is presented by UT AgResearch and UT Extension (605 Airways Boulevard in Jackson) and starts at 8 a.m.  Please check back for additional details and registration information as this event date approaches.

AMP Music Series

Do you hear it? Only the music of Jackson and West Tennessee could connect Memphis’ Beale Street and Nashville’s Music Row. Join the City of Jackson in celebrating the rich musical legacy of our region with the 2023 season of Jackson’s Award Winning music venue Jackson’s Amphitheater at the Market (AMP). Located in the heart of Jackson behind the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market and within walking distance of the Jackson Walk, this week’s performer is Magi.

JULY 15

Pets Rock Fest

The Jackson Animal Care Center will host the third annual Pets Rock Fest at Jackson Fairgrounds Park (800 South Highland Avenue in Jackson). Proceeds for the event, sponsored by PRA Group and the City of Jackson, TN, will go towards funding for the low-cost spay and neuter program that has helped provide thousands of spay/neuter surgeries for these animals. Unfortunately, the Jackson Animal Care Center and private Rescue Groups have struggled for the past few years with animal overpopulation in West TN. The goal of “Pets ROCK!! Fest” is to raise awareness and money for JACC, various animal Rescue Groups and related organizations. Join them for a day of family fun and activities from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
