City releases 2023 road repaving schedule

The City of Jackson has announced the 33 sections of road it will be repaving in 2023. The roads include the following:

•Cartmell St. from Highway 70 to E. Chester St. 

•Daughtery St. from Commerce St. to Rhea St. 

•Elm St. from Preston St. to Hale St.

•Linden St. from Campbell St. to Lambuth Blvd. 

•Pinnacle Dr. from Whitehall St. to American Dr. 

•T.R. White parking lot

•W. King St. from Lambuth Blvd. to Campbell St. 

•Carriage House Dr. from N. Highland Ave. to the Highway-45 Bypass

Mayor Scott Conger says over the course of 3 years, the City of Jackson has repaved 180 streets. Conger has also committed to using the City’s money, not borrowed money to fix the streets. 

The City of Jackson only repaves city streets, not county roads or state highways. The City is also working to completely renovate Airways Blvd., but is still waiting on grant funding.
