Beverly Loraine Kennedy-Pack was born May 7, 1941, in Jackson, to the late Georgia and Homer Kennedy.
She accepted Christ ta an early age attending St. Paul C.M.E. Church of Jackson. She attended Jackson Public Schools graduating from Merry High School in 1960. She was a flag girl for their band.
She was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Homer Edward Pack, Sr. on December 23, 1962, until his passing on December 8, 2003.
They moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1967. To this union three children were born. She had one child, George Thomas Pack who preceded her in death in 1999.
She worked for the Detroit Public School System as a Lunch Lady for 30 years until retiring and she never missed a day; a faithful, dedicated employee.
She loved shopping on the QVC network. She loved her grandchildren who she took on frequent trips to Greenfield Village and the Science Center.
She leaves to cherish her memory her remaining two children, Cynthia (DeJuan) Jones, Homer Jr. (Jamilia) Pack; five grandchildren, Ray Hampton Jr. (Taylor), Parker Pack (Haley), Shayla Hampton (Dawonn), Kayla Pack (Justin), Rowyn Pack; five great-grandchildren: Promyse Hampton, Hampton, Jade Hampton, Jream Hampton and Ka’Auni Pack; one special lifelong friend, Mrs. Nancy Steele, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 15 at 1 p.m. at Stephenson-Shaw Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery on Tinker Hill Road in Jackson.
