Betty Marie Richardson Wyatt, age 92 of Jackson, passed away on July 9, 2024.
Betty was born on November 16, 1931 in Blytheville, AR, the daughter of the late George and Clara Heflin Richardson. She was united in marriage to Carl Wyatt whom she married on September 12, 1949. She loved the Lord and her church where she was an active member of Parkview Baptist. She was a devoted, loving mother and Mamaw and liked nothing more than to cook and feed her family no matter how big it grew. She was a hard worker and worked until the age of 80 in the grocery business in Humboldt, Milan and Huntingdon Tn. She became a cancer and stroke survivor and overcame many other obstacles in the latter years of her life but no matter what came her way she got back on her feet because she loved her family and life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Carl Wyatt; and her siblings, G.T. Richardson, Bobby Richardson, Pauline Morrow Mahan, and Louise Richardson.
She leaves behind a tremendous legacy in her children, Donna Holmes (Barry), Linda Delaney, Steve Wyatt (Karla), Roger Wyatt (the late Lisa), Beth DeLoach (Mike), and Paul Wyatt (Judy); thirteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Betty Wyatt will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Justin Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m., two hours prior to the service.
