Advertise your campaign in The Post

Posted

This is an editorial.

Local elections matter, and the newspaper remains one of the most trusted ways to reach voters. We invite all candidates to advertise their campaigns and share their message with readers across our community.

Advertising policies (fairness & transparency)

To ensure equal treatment for all candidates:

  • All campaign advertising must be prepaid at regular rate-card prices.

No discounts or credit may be extended to any candidate or campaign.

  • Ads may be booked in advance without payment, but payment must be received before publication.
  • These policies apply equally to all candidates, parties, and offices.

Campaign announcement feature – $150

Kick off your campaign with a professionally presented announcement in the newspaper.

  • Placement: Begins on the front page and continues inside
  • Length: Up to 300 words
  • Includes: One candidate photo
  • Photo guidelines: Portraits only (no family photos, group photos, or action shots)

This feature allows candidates to introduce themselves, outline priorities, and let voters know what they stand for.

Premium, limited-availability placements

Many candidates request prominent placement for maximum visibility. The following premium options are available on a first-come, first-served basis while inventory lasts.

Payment is required at the time of reservation to secure premium placement.

  1. Front Page Top Banner (above the flag) – $250
  2. Front Page Bottom Banner – 10" × 1.5" banner across the bottom of the front page
  3. Left Rail Ad – 1 column (1.6") × 18" on the left side of the front page
  4. Right Rail Ad – Same size and placement as left rail
  5. Page 3A Placement –
  6. Most popular inside page for political advertising
  7. Limited inventory
  8. Black and white only (no color)

Copy editing (free upon request)

We offer complimentary copy editing for campaign ads, including:

  • Spelling
  • Grammar
  • Clarity of message

All edits will be submitted to the candidate for approval before publication.

Required “Paid For By” disclaimer

All political advertising must clearly state who paid for the ad.

Examples include:

  • “Paid for by the candidate”
  • “Paid for by the Committee to Elect [Candidate Name]”

For rates, availability, or to reserve space, please contact our advertising department. Early reservations are encouraged, as premium placements fill quickly.

Equal access. Clear policies. Trusted local coverage.
