Mary Louise Yancy Smith began life April 6, 1930 in Paducah, KY. She transitioned her life here when she accepted Jesus' promise "to provide a place for you" as recorded in John 14:1-6. In recent days, she spoke of His offer and had a heartfelt desire for all to know His Promise. She requested a graveside service and asked that the focus be on Christ, not her.

Joann Freeman, age 84 of Jackson, passed away on July 15, 2024.

Betty Marie Richardson Wyatt, age 92 of Jackson, passed away on July 9, 2024. Betty was born on November 16, 1931 in Blytheville, AR, the daughter of the late George and Clara Heflin Richardson.

Ray Cornelius Scott, age 92 of Jackson, passed away on July 4, 2024 in Parsons. Ray was born on May 3, 1932 to Henry Herman Scott and Lena Rose Kolwyck Scott. His father was a sharecropper and he was raised on a 120 acre farm on Old Medina Road with his five siblings. On October 21, 1956 he was married to Sue Deaton Scott. Ray and Sue were 50+ year members of West Jackson Baptist Church.

Charles Samuel Doumitt, Sr., age 82 of Jackson TN, watched his final sunset on July 2, 2024 in the arms of his soulmate of 60 years and surrounded by his loving family and the prayers of so many. His family is certain that he rode his wild Arabian stallion, Makado, through the pearly gates of Heaven at top speed and was met by a ton of loved ones celebrating his arrival. Chuck was a faith-filled Catholic man, known for his love of spending time in nature with his family, friends, his many Arabian horses, and all the animals he encountered in the great outdoors.

Leslie Brasfield Forbes, age 52, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday afternoon, July 5, 2024. Born on Sunday, July 25, 1971, in Jackson, TN, she was the daughter of Ken and Sandra Brasfield. Leslie's life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering strength.

Duke Julian, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home on July 4, 2024, at the age of 74. Duke's presence and spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Martin Littlefield, known affectionately as "Marty", departed this life peacefully on June 28, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center at the age of 73. He was born on July 13, 1950, in Adamsville, TN to the late Hubert and Julia Dee Littlefield.
